OutreachI am available in late fall, winter, and early spring to give talks, classes and tours. As professor Shubat, I am well versed in Botany and Horticulture. I can come to your garden club or meeting for a fee. I will be teaching a 3 credit night course, "Home Horticulture", Spring Semester 2011 (details below). As adventure junkie Shubat, I have slide shows and powerpoint talks on travels around the globe. March 4, 2010, I presented "A photo safari of Namibia and Botswana" at the UMD Alworth brown bag. As a consultant, I can come to your home and help you with a landscape plan, graft your apple trees, identify your perennials, identify native plants, tell jokes, sing, the list is practically endless. As the UMD Greenhouse Director, I give tours of the UMD greenhouses to school groups, garden clubs and individuals, free plant cuttings are included. When these tours are part of the regular school day they are part of my university job and there is no charge. I also teach classes.
